Your Facebook Friends
How many Facebook friends do you have? I have a mere 36. Not sure what that says about me, but I'm OK with that. One of my "friends" has 400. Four hundred!!?? He must have "friended" everyone he's ever met! Actually, he's no longer a friend of mine. I "unfriended" him yesterday. Too much politics and "I'm so great and everyone is so stupid."
My question is this: Why do people want to be my "friend" when I haven't seen them since High School graduation? I probably didn't talk to them that day, much less at any time in the last 20 years. I'm amazed at some of the friend requests I get. Why are they all of a sudden interested in me?
But I do get excited when I see a friend request. Who could it be? An old boyfriend, someone I knew in California, or a complete stranger that's mistaken me for someone else? I've had all three.
Then there are the updates. I have one "friend" that is constantly updating that she is drinking her coffee and getting ready to clean. Her house must be immaculate. And I don't think she has a job. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but she's ALWAYS cleaning her house. Here's an MSN article I saw a few weeks ago regarding FB updates. I've seen all of these, but am guilty of none!!!

Finally taking the time. . .
So many random thoughts, so little time. I just haven't taken the time recently to post, so I'm taking the last few minutes of my lunch to do so.
I've change the title to my blog, although my url remains the same. I still wish I'd taken a little more time on that in the beginning. Oh, well. Cassidy hasn't said it for a while, but "That's so random." or "You guys are so random." used to come out of his mouth from time to time when he thought Dana and I were doing something. . . well, random.
I also changed my background picture. Like? You'll probably see it change from time to time. This picture was taken from our dock at Indiana Beach. I thought the roller coaster was appropriate. (You'll see in a minute.)
In the spirit of being random, I'm going to close this blog with one of the great random moments from one of my favorite movies, "Parenthood."
-You know, when l was young, Grandpa took me on a roller coaster. Up, down, up, down. Oh, what a ride.
- What a great story.
-l always wanted to go again. lt was just interesting to me that a ride could make me so frightened...so scared, so sick, so excited... and so thrilled all together. Some didn´t like it. They went on the merry-go-round. That just goes around. Nothing. l like the roller coaster. You get more out of it.
